THE LOSS OF INDIVIDUALISM. Who’s Civil Rights?

I’m sick and tired of all this nonsense about liberals being on the side of “civil rights”. Their philosophy on “civil rights” is always the same: the rest of us are supposed to remain civil while they take away our rights. They have an agenda and have used their friends in the liberal media to hide this agenda behind warm and fuzzy terms like “human rights”, “civil rights” and “environmentalism” etal. Actually, the collectivist goals of liberals are anti-civil, anti-environment and anti-right.
The most important civil right, the civil right that over-rides all others, is the right to strive for complete fulfillment as a human being. And that means free enterprise; and free enterprise means capitalism. Capitalism is the core of civil rights. We all have an inalienable right to capitalize on the abilities we have to pursue completeness as we perceive it. That is what has made this country the greatest guarantor of civil rights in the history of man.
Capitalism is anathema to liberal collectivists. Why? Because it rewards individualism.
We are rapidly losing our true civil rights due to the extortionate influence of the liberal collectivists and their insidious imposition of mediocrity and characterless on the individual. Bringing all human beings down to the lowest common denominator and making us slaves to commonness is not an exercise in respect for the individual or that individual’s civil rights.
This country was built by individuals not by collectivist cutouts. That is why conservatives believe so passionately and compassionately in individual privacy rights; the right to full ownership of real property, the right to control our intellectual property, the right to fail or to succeed, the right to the benefits of our own labor and most importantly, the right of choice for every individual. And that includes both private and commercial choices.
If I as the individual owner of an apartment house choose to exclude certain individuals based on behavior that I find distasteful, that is my right. If I own a business and choose to hire and/or serve only those whose ethnicity I share, that is my right. If I choose to smoke and allow my customers and employees to smoke, that is my right. If I choose to drive without a seatbelt, that is my right.
If you choose to open your home or business to anybody that comes along that is your right. If you choose not to smoke, you have the right to choose to do business where smoking is prohibited. If you choose to wear a seatbelt, good for you.
You see, if I exercise my right to make individual choices, you lose none of yours. But if you collectively determine what I as a business owner or a consumer can or cannot do then you have taken away my rights. The fact that I serve or employ large numbers of people does not mean that my property belongs to the public.
Individual rights must prevail over collective dictates if we are to have a future. It is simply a matter of logic that the earth is better off when individuals control its inventory. No collective ownership of any part of the “environment” has proven successful when measured against private ownership. It’s far better that I have the right to take care of my part and you have the same right to do whatever you wish with your part.
I always laugh when the “environmentalists” pull out the old chestnut “but what you do with your property affects my property”. Well, of course. That’s Civics 101 and that is where civility comes in. But their solution is where the silliness comes in. They want to tell us how to live on our own property so we don’t affect their property. Did I miss something here? Doesn’t that affect my property?
I can hear the “environmentalists” out there crying. But what about “global warming” and second hand smoke? Its time for them to find some new material to use in their intimidation schemes. There is no man made “global warming” and the claims that so-called second hand smoke is harmful are nothing but,… well, puffery. All of this scare mongering is for one reason. They are afraid of the individual, afraid of free thought, and afraid of self sufficiency. Only through coercive government tyranny can they overcome their weakness.
Liberal collectivists are also fond of saying that my right to swing my fist stops at their nose. Not true. When they stick that nose into my privacy and deny me my civil rights I have the right to swing my fist at, on and through that nose.  Civily, of course.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32 

“Sanctify them through thy truth:  Thy word is truth.”  John 17:17

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do. 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

 

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.”  John 10:10

 

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do.

 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.

Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

 

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.”  John 10:10

 

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them

by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15

 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them

by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15

 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do.

 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.

Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do.

 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.

Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

 

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.”  John 10:10

 

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them

by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15

 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.”  John 10:10

 

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them

by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15

 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do.

 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.

Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

When the Biblical moral principles and practices of a nation decay, then tyranny is just around the corner.  Since those core principles and practices that produce liberty come from the Bible, then the fountainhead and primary source from which the principles and practices of liberty pour is the true Biblical church.

“…the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”  I Timothy 3:15

 

Only the true church is able to keep alive the core principles and practices that produce liberty.  The true church was begun by Christ, charged by Christ, and empowered and guided by Christ to be the pillar and ground of truth.  All other but the Biblical practices and principles stifle human social, technological, and economical development and generally lead to bondage and ruin.  Thus, vibrant, Biblically functioning, New Testament churches are the most important elements of the culture of freedom.  They are the hot spots that source the truth, sustain the truth, and spread the truth that produce and sustain the general culture of freedom.

This culture of freedom and dignity of citizens in America, based upon Biblical principles, has set to flight the opportunity and motivation for a nation’s citizens to express their incentives and ingenuity to produce and give in a way the world has never seen.

This culture of freedom, based upon Biblical truths, has produced the technological and economic engines that have blessed the entire world and extended freedom’s aspiration to the downtrodden victims of all other cultures.

In spite of the lack of perfect implementation of Biblical principles and practices, it has undoubtedly produced the most widespread benefits to the most persons the world has ever known.  It has been so effective that its people are the most prosperous, compassionate, and generous toward others and has not endured comfortably the oppression of the downtrodden.

Because of the Biblically based moral influence in America, there has always been a prevailing wind blowing in the direction of righting wrongs that are and have been constantly inflicted upon each other by the natural self-serving tendencies of all mankind.  Perhaps, there has never been a nation with a conscience for good like America.  It causes us to come to the aid of the wronged, hurting, and needy.

In America, the institution of slavery against the post-African minority was overturned at great cost, mostly by the sacrifice of enormous bloodshed by the Biblically affected post-European majority.  Most of human history tells the story of relentless genocide and/or cruel exploitation of minorities.  Even today, that can be seen in regions where other than Biblical Christians are in the majority, or where one ethnic group or race is in the majority over another.

The compassion and propensity to correct wrongs that the Biblically based, moral culture produces, although a positive and good thing, renders our populations vulnerable to exploitation by the misguided or by those at war with our culture.  Those who would cause the wrongful distribution of the means of production accumulated through the advantages of our culture of liberty can reward immoral and unproductive behavior and discourage moral and productive behavior.  This can destroy our culture that produces liberty and prosperity because it helps to undermine our moral foundation and work ethic.

More Christian missionaries have swarmed out of this culture of liberty, preaching the gospel of Christ with a desire to set at liberty the oppressed by sin, than any other time or place in history.  It becomes obvious why we, as Christians and churchmen, should be so concerned with retaining the culture of freedom that allows the expression of the gospel of grace and the virtues of living a Christ-like life.

First, the existence and expansion of such a culture comes from the practice and principles of the Bible.  Second, the practice and principles of such a culture of liberty are compatible with and enhance the success of the commission of the church.  Third, it contributes to the best possible outcome for the well-being of the most, both in this life and the world to come.

These benefits and successes of freedom in North America are not due to superior, natural resources, nor race, nor anything of superior land or attributes of people.  Instead, it is due to a superior Biblically based culture, designed and blessed by God, where people of all lands and races have come and flourished in that freedom. It can be said that America has been an exceptional nation because its people have been blessed by an exceptional God through His exceptional book.

There are multitudes of other cultures that are at war with the Biblical culture of freedom, and they are based upon other sources of values and principles—producing other worldviews, all leading to tyranny, oppression, and poverty.

However, there are really only two primary sources of values and principles—that is, Christ and the anti-Christ.  The war between them has been constant since the angelic rebellion against God.  We know it has affected man from the beginning by the influence of spirits upon mankind and the counter cultures (world system) produced by them.  Ephesians 2:1-3

Satan provides the design of the world system, which produces a multitude of cultures, all intended to hinder the spread of the Christian faith and the Bible, and thus, the culture of freedom.  Each different culture of anti-Christ embodies a different strategy or combination of strategies to work his defeat of Christ.  Some strategies involve force.  Others involve persuasions which undermine the core values and principles of the scriptures.

It is apparent from the small amount of secular history that we have retained, and the Biblical record, that there has been such conflict, and there has been an ebb and flow of the state of affairs resulting from that conflict.  We can see some of God’s strategy and tactics to retain truth and Satan’s strategy and tactics to destroy truth by destroying the cultures of truth and the people and documents and monuments of truth.

During the 18th century, the truth was given an opportunity to expand in North America and enlarge into a great culture of freedom.  That culture, generally expressed “way of life” was won and has been defended by force of arms against those who would overthrow freedom by force of arms.  In those encounters, we have been holding our own until fairly recently in our history.  That slippage is the result of moral slippage on the part of American leadership.

The ultimate deciding weapon in the outcome of cultural warfare, which can affect the outcome of whether a given culture will prevail in its warfare with other cultures, is not force, but persuasion.  In fact, persuasion is the only legitimate weapon the Christian culture is allowed in gaining new adherents and retaining the old.  True Biblical principles and core values do not allow us to gain adherents by coercion.  In some instances, the Bible indicates approval to expand territory or retain territory by force of arms, but it never justifies gaining adherents to faith by forceful coercion.  We can legitimately gain and retain adherents to faith only by free choice through persuasion.

One of the counter cultures to the true, Biblically-guided Christian culture has been the pseudo-Biblical culture, which has taken the Biblical identity but held anti-Biblical principles and core values.  They have attempted to spread their culture by coercion and force.  This has created a lot of confusion among persons of non-Christian cultures concerning what are the true core values and principles held by true Biblical Christians.  Examples would be church-state combines involved in inquisitions and conquests with conversion by threat of torture and executions.  It’s doubtful that anyone has ever been converted to true Christianity by coercion since a true conversion occurs only by the exercise of free will.

Our founding fathers and early generations of our nation understood the warfare that was constantly at play to overthrow freedom and the necessity that there be a general knowledge of Biblical truth among the population in order to retain freedom.  They had just established a nation dominated by that culture of truth out of conflict with darkness.  They knew the struggles, dangers, and the tenuousness of their accomplishment—and the value of eternal vigilance.  They understood the times and what they should do.

 

So, they set a powerful strategy to win any war involving persuasion.  They established an educational principle that a knowledge of Christ and Biblical truths should be the center of every education.  Even the great universities were initially centered on those principles.  Innumerable monuments were set up throughout the nation to extol and sustain those Biblical principles from which freedom flows.  But, time marches on.  Men become preoccupied with the blessings of freedom and forget due vigilance.  In our times of the 21st century, we find an ironic and tragic situation in our nation.

Most of the very institutions of education that were set up by Christians to train leaders to sustain and reinforce our culture have been captured by the enemies.  Their strategy has been to use our freedoms to attack us in our most vulnerable point—namely, the naïve, ill-prepared youth—through the nation’s educational centers and use those centers as their own strongholds of persuasive warfare.  Not having the values and principles of the Biblically-based Christian culture, they have no scruples against deception and stealth to gain control of the critical institutions of persuasion.  Upon gaining control, they unscrupulously discriminate against Christians for positions in education and in other institutions.  Not according the same fairness or freedom that the Biblically based culture accorded them, they have effectively cast out all Christian expression from public discourse.

Also, those monuments of truth throughout the land are being outlawed because of anti-Christian influence through their control of government.  It has been historically true that as anti-Biblical cultures have consolidated themselves in a position of power, they have cut off the Bible from the masses and have persecuted even unto death those adhering to the true Biblical principles.

For our forefathers, dualism was not a way of life for most influential people.  (They did not express religious feelings and convictions and live one way in the church houses and another way outside of church houses.)  They tended to express their religious principles and values openly and in all settings.  They did not seem to feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings.  Not so in our day, for most influential people feel intimidated to express their true religious feelings anywhere, especially in government and public settings because of the force of anti-Christian’s cultural correctness of the new order.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

 

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

 

“…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more

abundantly.”  John 10:10

 

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

Culture = the social characteristics of thinking and behaving in and of a group.

The group maintains those characteristics and thinking by its influence upon itself and enlarges its adherents by its influence upon others.

Most cultures have based their social characteristics and behavior upon a core set of values and principles (worldviews) which are deemed to best fulfill the well-being of the individuals and the group and fit their reality perspective.

The existence of different cultures based upon differing worldviews produce tensions between the cultures and competition for adherence and assets.  There become strategies, tactics, and actions for one to overcome and even eliminate the other by persuasion or force or both; by overt means or by covert means or both.  That means wars and rumors of wars.

The American nation was originally greatly influenced culturally by the polarizing influence of the Biblically affected religious organizations.  The Christian worldview, formed by the core set of values and principles from the Bible, was a very strong influence upon a significant portion of the population, especially the leaders who are generally considered the founding fathers.

The American culture of freedom was based upon the principle that God loved man and suffered, sacrificed, and died for every single person’s benefit.  This exalts each and every person.  It grants him inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  This produces the notion that government’s duty is to ensure those rights.  The early leaders and founders of the nation were convinced that freedom and dignity afforded to the citizens of the nation could not occur outside a Biblically affected people and could not long endure without the general retention of that core set of values and principles that come from the Bible.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  John 8:32

The reason that the system that gives us liberty is very fragile and tenuous, and requires constant vigilance, is because the exercise of rights without restraint brings license, which then brings chaos and necessitates extreme governmental constraints, which then ends liberty.

Therefore, for liberty to exist there must be adequate self-restraint in the general population.  Only the Biblical religion has successfully produced the moral bent in those affected which causes them to be suitable for the liberties transferred to them

by God.  The government must also be operated by persons of the same moral influence that restrains the general population.  Otherwise, the government ceases to be a protector of liberties and instead, becomes oppressive of those liberties.

The motivation of the Biblical Christian religion to influence people to moral living is not terror and loss of their souls, but more of love and respect and appreciation toward God for His mercy and grace.  Thus, a person fulfilling Biblical moral principles in life acquires a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction within themselves rather than a sense of oppression and bondage.  Moral decadence tends to lead to cultural and personal degradation which further leads to a sense of bondage and emptiness and cultural decline, especially loss of human dignity and liberty.

Even though our enemies have not yet been able to overcome us by force of arms, they are weakening us in our will and ability to fight.  It is apparent that we’ve lost much that our forefathers gave us of the founding core principles and values of our nation (things that are necessary to the retentions of our freedoms).

The reason is that while many of us were occupied hitherto, Satan has relentlessly and successfully warred against the Godly culture from within by the strategies and tactics of persuasion and not by force of arms.  Our enemies have taken advantage of our freedoms, especially of speech, and we may be losing our freedoms because we are losing the battle and war of persuasion.

In their persistency, the enemy has developed a large company of those who have a clear sense that there is a war, whom are well-equipped with knowledge of their principles and values, and whom have strong convictions and determination to win the war.  They have formed strategies and tactics of persuasion, including seeking control of all assets of persuasion, seeking to capture control of the education of youth, seeking control of news and entertainment media, seeking control of government on all levels (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy), and seeking control of the great foundation and trusts, etc.

On our side, there is a stunning and paralyzing prevalence of confusion and complacency.  There are just a few who seem to sense and care that true, pitched, cultural warfare is taking place, and especially a war that, if lost, will mean the loss of their freedoms and way of life in general.  It will be the same as if a conquering army had invaded and taken over the country.  The enemy of freedom has been very successful.  Even now they control most weapons of persuasion, which tips the field in their favor.  They are not guided by fair play and the value of dignity of life and the Biblical moral principles of truth.  Deceit, injustice, oppression, etc., are acceptable.  “The end justifies the means.”

Often, we on our side, who would war against the enemy, find our hands and mouths taped in our power of persuasion and influence to retain and expand our Christian culture from which freedom flows.  Our side has not been well taught and does not understand the issues of our times and what we ought to do.  That is why there is confusion and no real will to fight among us.  The pillar and ground of truth has become an inadequate fountainhead of truth to produce effective salt and light.  The churches understand there is a war, but apparently not an understanding of the times, in order to know what the church ought to do.  I Chronicles 12:32

 

The churches should have developed, foremost, whatever it took to keep their adherents as aware of the spiritual war as their forefathers were.  They should have taught plainly how it was playing out in the culture and of the dire consequences that loss of the war would bring.  The church, as the fountainhead of the culture of freedom, should have thoroughly equipped their people to be discipled men and women, enabled to understand the times with the ability and propensity to go into the community (all sectors) as participants, with the attitude to win souls, to influence the culture through living a Christian lifestyle, and to fight the cultural war by advancing the cause of Christ.

Understanding the times includes understanding what the strategies and tactics of the enemy are!  (We should not be ignorant of his devices.)  Timely strategies and tactics should be formed to effectively counter the strategy and tactics of the enemy in order to hold or recapture control of education and indoctrination of the youth, and to regain control of all instruments of persuasion including news media, entertainment media, government (legislative, executive, judicial, and bureaucracy – from the city level through the federal level.)  We are not proposing that churches get involved in politics, but people affected by the gospel and Biblical morality as American citizens of a representative government should get involved and exercise their influence.

There should be a burning determination in every Christian to aid and abet in that cause, based upon a sense of the war and unthinkable consequences of its loss.  Such attitude and conviction should be fostered into cultural attitudes at large through all those persuasive strongholds which the enemy now holds, but which we could recover in the power of Christ and in pitched determination and sacrifice.

Thus, in our discipleship process in the churches and in the educational bastions which our Christian culture still holds, as well as through any and all other processes of influence, not only should we stress the warfare and the strategies and tactics of our enemy, but we should also stress counter-strategies and tactics that our own culture should apply. Then, we must put out a strong call for soldiers of the cross to go into the mainstream for the purposes of recapturing lost strongholds and strengthening those strongholds that are left.  Revelation 2:25, 26; 3: 1-3

 

The forces of freedom must marshal the spiritual, technical, and financial resources with determination to implement those goals now and at all cost.

Some specific goals are the following:  buy up and operate ABC, CBS, NBC, the New York Times, etc.; gain leverage by placing our people into major university policy and teaching positions; do the same for the public primary and secondary schools; and, do the same for political, judicial, legislative, and bureaucratic slots; and, develop and expand more Christian schools and universities.  We must recover control of the great foundations and distribute to and fund great causes.  Again, this is not a call for churches to do these things in the realm of state and commerce, but for Christian disciples and enlightened within the churches to do as they go forth outside the churches with all legitimate endeavors of education, trade, media, government, etc.

We must live our lives with greater purposes than manufacturing, buying, and selling services and widgets, motivated by self-aggrandizement.  We must insure that the nation under God with government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth; a system that is generated by the knowledge of and application of the truths of the Bible, the Holy Word of God—the God who is the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, righteous, just and loving One.  He, above all others, knows exactly how things should be done for the best outcome and benefit of those He loves.

We must understand the gospel which changed our souls’ inclination and eternal destiny.  We must recover the principles of what is the Christian lifestyle and why we, as Christians, should live that lifestyle.  Living that lifestyle counters the anti-Christian cultural effluvium that comes as a result of moral decay. We must understand the importance of taking up arms against aggressors who would destroy our liberty and way of life by force, be willing to be a soldier of our flag, and give our lives in that cause.

But, why should we send our people as soldiers-at-arms to fight for our freedoms and then allow our freedoms to be lost at home by neglect of our moral duties?  We must be soldiers of the flag, but we must, and much more so, be soldiers of the cross (not in the mold of the violent and unbiblical crusaders, conquistadors and inquisitioners, but in the love, kindness, and goodness of Jesus Christ).

Alexis Charles Henri Clerel de Tocqueville, the French political thinker and historian best known for his Democracy in America, said “America is great because America is good.”

If we do not stand up as soldiers of the cross, then all the efforts and sacrifice of all those who have struggled and sacrificed, even to the point of giving their lives for the flag and her freedoms, will have struggled and sacrificed in vain.  If the soldiers of the cross do not sustain the values and principles in our culture that produce liberty and which without liberty cannot be maintained, all is lost, and we decline into tyranny.  The American cause will become a bygone ripple in the flow of history.  MAY GOD FORBID!!—and may we, as Americans, decide to use our freedoms, so preciously bought, to preserve freedom.

The Ad Nauseam Liberal Name Calling

The old saw “the definition of crazy is trying the same failure over and over again and expecting a different outcome” is being proven true by the left…well, over and over again today. Different countries have been trying various forms of socialism for well over 100 years now and it has never worked.
The left is now so bereft of any defense of socialism that they have set up a new paradigm wherein they are always right and anybody who disagrees with them is put down by simply calling them names. If you disagree with a liberal your logic is combated by being called a myriad of epithets such as (among others) racist, bigot, xenophobe, (and many other phobes) or some kind of anti-immigrant miscreant who is trying to destroy our “common humanity” whatever that means. They remind me of my younger sister who, when frustrated, would end the debate with you with her favorite epithet. You were simply an old “poopie-dummy”. Of course she was so young and repeated it so often it became completely silly and meaningless. And that is exactly how I take any name I am called by a liberal now.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at how meaningless a few of the liberal labels have become:
RACISM.
The dictionary defines racism as “hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.”. Is hating or being intolerant of the behavior of another single person’s behavior racism? Is it only racism if that person is of a different color or religion or race? Or is it being discriminating? Aren’t the lines between disapproving (discriminating) and out and out hatred often blurred by repeated and overly frequent use of the word racism by the left?
Would it be racism if a non-caucasian refers to the behavior of a single caucasian as an example of “white power” based on the earned status of that person or a certain group of Caucasians?
XENOPHOBIC.
The dictionary defines xenophobia as an irrational fear of foreign people or foreign ideologies.
Unfortunately, the term xenophobia is more often used today to define a reasonable fear and hatred of foreigners or foreign ideologies. Unfortunately there is no term for an innately reasonable desire to protect of nurture your chosen and/or desired cultural and intellectual heritage. In simpler terms xenophobia is not a bad instinct. Forcing any culture to accept a willy- nilly influx of those whose obvious desire is to radically change your chosen and desired civilization is not a right that should exist to any governing entity and should generate a natural and expected reaction, i.e. a perfectly decent and morally upstanding response. I am proud to claim xenophobia behavior when in reference to the United States of America!
There is a vast difference between provable and logical debate and errant or ignorant terminology. So when the left uses the term today it devolves into the “poopie-dummy” category…perfectly silly and meaningless.
BIGOT
Webster defines the word bigot thusly: “a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices”. Let me begin here with a discussion of the word intolerant. Disagreeing with others about any given issue is not, in itself, intolerance. Yet to the leftist or liberal, disagreeing with them in any fashion (especially with a logical premise) is intolerance period. Actually, they are very intolerant of anybody who dares to have a legitimate and especially a logical and inherently commonsensical disagreement no matter the reasonableness with which it is presented.
COMMON HUMANITY
Like I have repeated here the liberals behave in a world where if THEY say something it is true…therefore I must say this to the liberals; you are saying: “Common humanity exists because I say it does.”
Well you are wrong. Self identity has existed since the beginning of humanity and that cannot change. And self identity has no room for “common” identification. In fact, I don’t even think that humanity is a singular noun should always be constructed as “humanities”. There have been countless humanities throughout the evolvement of the human race and none of them have been or are “common”. As I have stated, self indentifying is universal. Commonality is not. Our different tribal, civil, educational, cultural associational conduct and sexuality behaviors are just a few of the distinctivenesses that will never be congruent with “commonness”.
That, of course, is just a few of the “bad” names liberals use for debating strategy and there are many more but I will close with my favorite:
ANTI-GOVERNMENT
If there is any name that means the opposite of bad it is anti-government. Call me any of your self-defined terrible names you wish and I will take them with a grain of salt. But call me anti-government and I will take great pleasure in accepting that designation. As an anti-government adherent I am in very good company…that of the greatest accumulation of nobly exalted men in history, our founding fathers. These extremely far sighted and intellectuals are responsible for composing the single most important document in history, our Constitution. That imposing and absolutely unerring construct of thoughts was produced for one and only one purpose. That purpose was in itself anti-government. Read the document for yourselves and you will sense throughout its reading an undercurrent of fear of government. Therefore I am proudly anti-government.
So why don’t you liberals discard that long list of “bad” names you carry for debating points and just replace them with the simple phrase “poopie-dummy”. It sounds so much more compatible

The Second-Hand Smoke Charade

Smoking tobacco products over a long period of time may entail significant health risks. Acknowledging those risks, millions of Americans have quit smoking because they estimate that the possible costs exceed any possible benefits. That’s their right. Alternatively, millions of other Americans have voluntarily assumed the risks of smoking and they continue to puff away. And that’s their right, too.

Or is it? One of the important arguments for restricting smoking is that it can endanger innocent nonsmokers who inhale environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). Indeed, many states (led by California and Florida) have decided over the last few years to severely restrict smoking in commercial establishments on the basis of a 1993 Environmental Protection Agency report that classified ETS as a “Group A Carcinogen,” that is, as a significant risk to health.

It now turns out that the influential 1993 EPA report “Respiratory Health Effects of Passive Smoking: Lung Cancer and Other Disorders” was as phony as a three-dollar bill. State officials and private businesses that believed that ETS was a public health danger (and not just a nuisance) were completely misled by the EPA. And, of course, so was main street American public opinion.

Are those the views of a vast right-wing conspiracy? Hardly. They are the sober conclusions of a gutsy federal district court judge in North Carolina named William Osteen, whose recent ruling invalidated the very foundation of the EPA report. Judge Osteen’s views coincide with a Congressional Research Service analysis released in late 1995 that had serious reservations about the EPA report.


You don’t have to be a fan of smoking to agree that the EPA is a regulatory renegade spinning wildly out of control on this issue. Even several veteran career employees of the agency have gone public recently to protest its “junk science” and its irrational environmental zealotry.


Judge Osteen determined that the EPA had “cherry picked” its data and had grossly manipulated “scientific procedure and scientific norms” in order to rationalize the agency’s own preconceived conclusion that passive smoking caused 3,000 lung cancer deaths a year. In addition, Osteen ruled that the EPA had violated the Radon Act, which was the agency’s authority for disseminating its “de facto regulatory scheme” that intended to prohibit passive smoking. The agency responded, embarrassingly, with an ad hominem attack on the judge, not on the cold logic of his arguments.

As a result of the EPA report, many bans on smoking in public places have been introduced. One would think that any such ban would be based solidly on scientific studies of ETS exposure in public places. In fact, the EPA did not even evaluate the studies on smoking in public places. Instead, the EPA’s analysis was based on 11 U.S. studies that examined the risks of contracting lung cancer to nonsmoking spouses married to smokers, a different matter altogether. Yet none of the studies in the original sample reported a strong relative cancer risk associated with ETS.

Still, the EPA was determined to prove that ETS was a serious carcinogen that justified stringent regulation. To do that, it simply set aside 19 of the original constellation of 30 ETS studies and then, defying all scientific standards, simply changed the “confidence levels” in the statistical analysis from 95 percent to 90 percent. When the highly manipulated smaller sample finally “confessed” that passive smoking was a health risk, the EPA proudly announced it had “proven” its preconceived conclusions.

And the sordid tale gets worse. The EPA chose to omit entirely from its analysis two recent U.S. ETS studies that had determined that passive smoking was NOT a statistically significant health risk. Worse for the EPA, including those studies with the “cherry-picked” 11 produces a result that shows no statistically significant health risks associated with passive smoking, even at reduced confidence levels. In short, even employing the EPA’s own corrupt methodology, ETS was simply not a “Group A Carcinogen,” as the agency had boldly asserted.

Congress should pull the plug on any EPA regulation that cannot be justified by evidence that is demonstrable, compelling, unequivocal and significant. THE LOSS OF INDIVIDUALISM. Who’s Civil Rights?

I’m sick and tired of all this nonsense about liberals being on the side of “civil rights”. Their philosophy on “civil rights” is always the same: the rest of us are supposed to remain civil while they take away our rights. They have an agenda and have used their friends in the liberal media to hide this agenda behind warm and fuzzy terms like “human rights”, “civil rights” and “environmentalism” etal. Actually, the collectivist goals of liberals are anti-civil, anti-environment and anti-right.
The most important civil right, the civil right that over-rides all others, is the right to strive for complete fulfillment as a human being. And that means free enterprise; and free enterprise means capitalism. Capitalism is the core of civil rights. We all have an inalienable right to capitalize on the abilities we have to pursue completeness as we perceive it. That is what has made this country the greatest guarantor of civil rights in the history of man.
Capitalism is anathema to liberal collectivists. Why? Because it rewards individualism.
We are rapidly losing our true civil rights due to the extortionate influence of the liberal collectivists and their insidious imposition of mediocrity and characterless on the individual. Bringing all human beings down to the lowest common denominator and making us slaves to commonness is not an exercise in respect for the individual or that individual’s civil rights.
This country was built by individuals not by collectivist cutouts. That is why conservatives believe so passionately and compassionately in individual privacy rights; the right to full ownership of real property, the right to control our intellectual property, the right to fail or to succeed, the right to the benefits of our own labor and most importantly, the right of choice for every individual. And that includes both private and commercial choices.
If I as the individual owner of an apartment house choose to exclude certain individuals based on behavior that I find distasteful, that is my right. If I own a business and choose to hire and/or serve only those whose ethnicity I share, that is my right. If I choose to smoke and allow my customers and employees to smoke, that is my right. If I choose to drive without a seatbelt, that is my right.
If you choose to open your home or business to anybody that comes along that is your right. If you choose not to smoke, you have the right to choose to do business where smoking is prohibited. If you choose to wear a seatbelt, good for you.
You see, if I exercise my right to make individual choices, you lose none of yours. But if you collectively determine what I as a business owner or a consumer can or cannot do then you have taken away my rights. The fact that I serve or employ large numbers of people does not mean that my property belongs to the public.
Individual rights must prevail over collective dictates if we are to have a future. It is simply a matter of logic that the earth is better off when individuals control its inventory. No collective ownership of any part of the “environment” has proven successful when measured against private ownership. It’s far better that I have the right to take care of my part and you have the same right to do whatever you wish with your part.
I always laugh when the “environmentalists” pull out the old chestnut “but what you do with your property affects my property”. Well, of course. That’s Civics 101 and that is where civility comes in. But their solution is where the silliness comes in. They want to tell us how to live on our own property so we don’t affect their property. Did I miss something here? Doesn’t that affect my property?
I can hear the “environmentalists” out there crying. But what about “global warming” and second hand smoke? Its time for them to find some new material to use in their intimidation schemes. There is no man made “global warming” and the claims that so-called second hand smoke is harmful are nothing but,… well, puffery. All of this scare mongering is for one reason. They are afraid of the individual, afraid of free thought, and afraid of self sufficiency. Only through coercive government tyranny can they overcome their weakness.
Liberal collectivists are also fond of saying that my right to swing my fist stops at their nose. Not true. When they stick that nose into my privacy and deny me my civil rights I have the right to swing my fist at, on and through that nose.  Civily, of course.

The other night I was watching an old movie on the dummy tube and I was suddenly given the opening for this editorial. (Getting that first sentence down is arguably the most difficult task when writing anything.)

In past editorials I have written about the necessity of private property for a country to sustain its freedom and why private property protections (from government) were – or should be – absolute and that we citizens should not budge an inch when the government starts its timeworn practice of begging for “little” favors with one hand and greasing the slippery slope with the other one.

Okay, so what’s this have to do with some old movie? Well it was one small sentence in the movie that stood out in my mind. A bit of dialogue in the movie spoke to the matter of “the law is the law” and it should not be approached with a bovine-like indifference. In the movie Burt Lancaster is a by-the-book lawman and sets out to bring in a group of drunken rowdies for shooting up his town. As it happened, one of the men was the female star’s “man”. (She was played by Sherree North, a real babe… but I’m giving my age away here.) Earlier in the story Burt had been Sherree’s “man”. To make a long story short, Sherree had hoped to use their old affair as a reason for Burt to make an exception in the case of her “man” since she needed him so badly. Burt’s answer to her plea to ignore the law just once was “no, you can’t play with it that way”.

Well, when it comes to little “exceptions” to the Fifth Amendment’s ultimatum to the government to respect our private property and keep its hands off and its nose out of our possessions, we have to stand up and demand that the government follow the law. Why?  Because you can’t play with it that way!

We have a couple of generations of government school graduates today that have been taught that everything – including the law – is relative. I’m sure you’ve heard the current saw about the Constitution being a “living” document. That belief is simply crackbrained imbecility. Boiled down to its absolute absurdity this thinking has as its premise the inane concept that the Constitution meant one thing yesterday, means something else today and will in turn mean something completely different tomorrow. Sound stupid? Of course. Why? Because you can’t play with it that way!

I am old enough to remember when there was great debate over the legality of zoning. Those against it were divided into two basic philosophies: One philosophy held that it was purely and simply unconstitutional (which it was and still is.), and the other warned against zoning on the basis of it being the camel’s nose under the tent and would result in our sharing our “tents” with the camel. Well, we are no longer the owner of the tent…we are renting it from the camel. If you think you own your “tent”, try going a couple of years without paying your rent (property taxes) and see how long you keep it.

Statements like “if we let them zone us it won’t be long before they start dictating all sorts of things on our own property. It won’t be long before they’ll be telling us when to cut the grass, or where we can build our house on our own property, or where we can park our cars, or plant trees, or remove trees…or they could even tell us what color we have to paint our house” were the warnings of the day. Of course those people making such statements were immediately dubbed as non-progressive, chicken-little minded Luddites.

Unfortunately those old fashioned “property rights extremists’ were more progressive than those who fought for zoning. Every one of the things mentioned above has come about.

Is zoning, then, a good thing? It may have some aspects that have been beneficial to society but overall it has been very harmful to our freedoms. I know there are people out there who are thinking that we have to have some kind of government organized control or there would be chaos. Well, I agree. But should we let the government violate the law for a little “organization”? No! Why? Because you can’t play with it that way!

Can we get together on this? Yes we can. The Constitution can be considered a “living document” in only one logical and legal manner. It can be amended by the will of the people. If it is necessary for the general welfare of the people to allow (and “allow” is the key word here.) the government to exercise some controls and limitations of our innate right to own – and use for our benefit – property, let’s do it according to the rules. Let’s enumerate those privileges we wish to grant to government, encapsulate them in a proposed amendment and let the people decide.

When I suggested this to a liberal friend of mind his response was “that would take too much time and money. And besides, there would probably be enough of you ‘property rights extremists’ out there to vote it down.” Ahh, the true voice of today’s version of democracy…let (some of) the people be heard.

So for you people out there who consider me and my “ilk” as “property rights extremists” I say you are partially right. We are extremists … but not about property, per se. We are proudly extreme in our views about the sacrosanct status of the Constitution, the Common Law it is based on and the laws that have emanated from both.

Every constitutional law is the law. And we are a nation of laws not whims. We must give resolute and “no exceptions” respect for all laws. And when I say “we” I mean the government too. Why?

Because you can’t…well, you get my drift.

What’s mine is mine…what’s yours is negotiable. – U. S. Government

Ever heard of Agenda 21? Probably not… and therein lies the problem. In my previous writing I made no bones about the fact that the “environmental” movement is nothing but warm and fuzzy approach to do away with the whole concept of individual ownership of any kind of private property. How? Through the United Nation’s Agenda 21.

You may think the UN is something far away and that it has no influence on you personally. Well, if you consider your home “a long way off” you are right. The UN through Agenda 21, however, has its sights squarely aimed at your family and property.

So what is Agenda 21? In the first place one must know that, along with other efforts by the environmentalist/socialists, it is a political agenda which is never referred to by its real name. It is called by many sweet sounding euphemisms such as “Livability Agenda”, “Lands Legacy Initiative”, “Smart Growth”, Sustainable Growth”, “planning” and many others. They all mean the same – aggravated theft. Theft of your freedoms, theft of your family as you know it today, theft of your property and theft of your dignity. (One reader of one of my columns wrote a letter to me and informed me that government control of everything is called “sharing”. I hesitated to burst her semantic balloon but did. I informed her it is not “sharing” it is theft. Sharing is voluntary…stealing is not.)

Theft is theft even when the government approves of the thievery… Turning a democracy (sic) into a kleptocracy does not enhance the stature of the thieves; it only diminishes the legitimacy of the government.” — Justice Janice Brown, dissenting opinion, San Remo

The centerpiece of the U.N.’s “sustainable development” plan is a document called Agenda 21. This predetermined plan for our future is nearly 300-pages long. In specific detail it tells all nation-states to come in under its (UN) scrutiny and control. It will eventually require all national governments to ensure “sustainability” by more strictly regulating education, transportation, land and energy use, economic production and consumption, markets, labor, trade, policy making processes, and even people’s daily lives. (Can we say socialism?)
The authors of the Sustainable Development action plan recognized that their environmental and economic objectives and the concomitant transformation of the American system of justice are repugnant to free peoples. Therefore, in order to achieve their objectives, they call for a shift in “attitudes”, which can be seen in the educational programs developed by its proponents.

This is the premise of Sustainable Development: That individual human wants, needs, and desires are to be conformed to the views and dictates of “planners”.

(Emphasis mine.)

“…current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class – involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable.”

So Agenda 21 would compel nations to surrender to a centralized system that would be monitored and enforced through the United Nations and global environmental groups or NGOs (non-governmental organizations). No longer would there be any need for the United States or any other society to elect their own leaders. These societies, instead, will be led by a handful of self righteous, self appointed (anointed) and power hungry “environmentalists”, UN apparatchiks and third world dictators.
An everlasting example of this destructive and devious path is the Russian “experiment” with socialism/communism. Their murderous scheme with its disregard for both humans and ecology will go down in history as the absolute defining of environmental abuse. And yet our environmentalists/socialists are working as hard as they can to bring this same horror to the United States. It is increasingly clear that sustainable development adherents use the environment simply as the means to promote a political agenda. Their wonder boy, Al Gore, in his childish rant, Earth in the Balance said that sustainable development will bring about “a wrenching transformation” of American society.
Economic growth, environmental quality, agriculture, health, and opportunity are the desired goals of all of us. But the only proven way to get this is from the Capitalist principles of decentralized ownership, control of private property and natural resources, the rule of law, and the right of individuals to make their own decisions.
These are the moral manners and customs upon which America was founded. And these moral guidelines have led the United States to become the “shining city on the hill”. An unquestioned example of the road for other nations to follow. The American ethos of individualism, emancipation and enfranchisement has shown the world the road to promote freedom, prosperity, generosity and yes, even a world-leading environmental stewardship.
Let’s not let the “environmentalists” take us backwards to a feudalistic police state. Been there, done that. Failed!
